The purpose of the foundation is to promote, from the basis of Central Finland, mental health in children and youth by supporting research on psychiatric and psychosocial problems and social exclusion; preventive work; care and rehabilitation; training in this field; and development work and publications in collaboration with other actors nationally and internationally.
The purpose of the Haukkala Foundation is to promote well-being and mental health in children and youth by supporting research on psychiatric and psychosocial problems and social exclusion, preventive work, care and rehabilitation, training in the field; as well as development and publishing activities in collaboration with national and international stakeholders.
The vision is that the Haukkala Foundation is in 2020 a well-known stakeholder in Finland in the area of promoting well-being and mental health in children and youth, through its initiatives, opinions, and given support. It has advanced the preparation of provincial child program, which is valued also outside of Central Finland, a more unified understanding of the child, and the sharing of a common language about a child among different stakeholders.
The vision is aimed at with research-based, child-centered, and experience-based, high quality actions, which highlight significant aspects of well-being of children and youth. The actions are carried out in cooperation and wide networking with other national and international stakeholders.
